Wrong Biome, Thriving Anyway
Wrong Biome, Thriving Anyway
unclassified, unbothered, technically not supposed to be here
What the naturalists never accounted for was the specimen that simply refused the taxonomy. The angler fish — deep-sea nightmare, bioluminescent horror of the crushing dark — floating serenely among monarch butterflies and daisy fields, bioluminescent lure bobbing in open air, fangs arranged in something that reads, remarkably, as contentment. The design is a field guide entry for a creature that never consulted the field guide. Species: unclassified. Not because classification failed, but because the creature declined to participate.
This is the garment for everyone who has been informed, at some point, that they are in the wrong room, the wrong city, the wrong group chat — and found the observation mildly interesting but ultimately irrelevant. The butterflies are not concerned. Neither, apparently, is the fish. Habitat: wherever the light is.
