Daisy Demolition Derby Queen
accountability with a thumbs up and zero follow-through
What remains after the discourse moves on is a particular silhouette: the person who caused the incident, petals everywhere, bumper still smoking, grinning. We have been studying this figure. She did not mean to. She also does not appear troubled by having done it. The helmet was always decorative. The design here is less apology and more press release — a flower behind the wheel of something dented and pink, thumb raised, chaos blooming in her wake, the acknowledgment issued and immediately rescinded by the expression on her face.
This is the garment for the era of the consequence-free oops. Forgiving through the shoulders, substantial enough to survive its own minor collisions. Wear it to the thing you said you'd come to. Wear it home early.
