You know the precise moment when you realize the adults in the room are all just winging it too. The mortgage papers sit unsigned on your kitchen table next to a bowl of cereal for dinner. Your browser history reads like a cry for help: "how to do taxes," "is my cough serious," "what is a 401k actually." This weathered placard acknowledges what we've all quietly suspected since our first lease signing — that somewhere between getting a credit card and having to choose our own health insurance, the training wheels came off and nobody bothered to mention it.

The design borrows the aesthetic of genuine safety signage, complete with that particular shade of institutional yellow that suggests both caution and the fluorescent lighting of DMV waiting rooms. A figure stands bewildered among the scattered symbols of independent living: money flying away, keys to responsibilities unknown, a house that needs things like "maintenance." The required supervision, it turns out, was never about keeping you safe from the world. It was about keeping the world safe from your executive function.
